Riverside: Dog Rescued From Roof Of House

 

INCIDENT DATE/TIME: 4-28-23, 8 pm
LOCATION: 6973 Southridge Drive
CITY: Riverside
DETAILS:

  1. Riverside Fire Department responded to a reported dog stuck on a house’s roof.
  2. When the engine arrived they found two women who are neighbors to the house where the dog lived that lead them to the house where there was a dog stuck on the roof.
  3. According to the woman, they walked outside and heard a dog barking and noticed it walking nervously o the roof of the house, they went and knocked on the door but no one was home so they called 911.
  4. After about 20 minutes, firefighters were able to get the dog back into the house using dog treats.
  5. The dog is safe back in the home but no one had contact info for the owners or knew when they would be returning.
  6. The dog was not injured and according to a neighbor they believe it is a German Shorthaired Pointer hunting dog but they were not 100% sure.
