Riverside: Armed Takeover Robbery At Nail Salon Leaves Employee Injured
06.21.2019 | 5:15 PM | RIVERSIDE – An employee was injured after being pistol-whipped during the takeover robbery of a nail salon, Friday evening.
Authorities responded to reports of an armed takeover-style robbery at the River Nail and Spa located in the 4700 block of Tyler Street around 5:15 PM.
Units arriving on scene discovered two armed men had entered the nail salon armed with handguns. The suspects demanded the employees and customers get on the ground and pistol-whipped one employee on the head.
Both suspects, described as male blacks in their late 20s, fled out the back door of the business.
The pistol-whipped employee was treated on scene before being transported to an area hospital for treatment.
An investigation is ongoing.
