Riverside: 2nd Alarm Fire in County DOT Building

11.25.2020 | 7:05 AM | RIVERSIDE – At 7:05 the Riverside Fire Department responded to a fire in the Riverside County Department of Transportation Building.

When they arrived they found a fire in the elevator room and one woman trapped in a stuck elevator. Firefighters used saws to open the elevator and free the trapped occupant who was assessed by AMR and fire, treated and released with no injuries.

The fire was contained to the elevator room. The cause is under investigation.
