Riverside: 2 Alarm Fire Quickly Burns 10 Acres

12.1.2020 | 11:30 PM | RIVERSIDE – At 11:30,  Riverside Fire Department responded to a call of a structure fire on the 800 block of Marlborough Ave.

When they arrived they found a hill on fire at around 4 acres.

The fire quickly erupted and  a 2 alarm was called with requests of more engine companies from RFD as well as mutual aid form Cal Fire Riverside.

According to RFD the fire was in heavy brush and fuels and had potential to burn around 100 acres.

At around 1am RFD  said the forward rate of spread had been stopped and released one Cal Fire engine.

They will remain on scene for at least 3 more hours for mop up.
