Resident In Critical Condition After Car Slams Into Apartment

DETAILS:
- Orange County Fire Authority responded to reports of a vehicle vs an apartment building.
- When the first arriving units made it to the scene they found a vehicle that had hit a two story apartment complex, went completely into the bottom apartment and struck two females inside the apartment.
- One of the woman who was inside the apartment was pinned between a wall and the vehicle and needed extrication.
- Extrication took about 25 minutes.
- She was transported to a local area trauma center suffering from unknown, but critical injuries.
- A second woman from inside the home was also injured and transported suffering from unknown injuries.
- The car involved had two occupants, both exited the car and fled the scene on foot.
- At this time it appears that speed was a factor in the incident
- The city is currently on scene checking the integrity of the structure to see if it needs to be red tagged.
