Redlands: Pedestrian Killed On Freeway

01.19.2019 | 6:43 PM | REDLANDS – Police were investigating after a man was killed while walking on a busy freeway, Saturday evening.

Authorities responded to the auto versus pedestrian crash on the eastbound lanes of the I-10 Freeway near Orange Street around 6:43 PM.

Units arriving on scene located a black male adult deceased in the roadway with several vehicles stopped nearby.

Initial reports indicate the man was walking in lanes when a vehicle struck the man and caused other vehicles to swerve to avoid the collision.

There was no word on why the man was walking in traffic and all lanes of the freeway were closed while police investigated.
