Reckless Driver Crashes Into Residents Front Yard | Phoenix

03.26.2022 | PHOENIX – Phoenix Police and Fire crews responded to reports of a single vehicle car wreck near the 3000 block of West Shangri-la Road around 1:30 AM Saturday morning. Upon arrival, officers located a heavily damaged sedan in the front yard of a nearby home. Fire crews arrived a short time later and evaluated 2 males, both refused transport and remained on scene. Officers were seen administering a field sobriety test to one of the involved males however it is unclear at this time whether DUI is a factor. According to multiple witnesses, the vehicle was travelling Southbound on 31st Avenue at a high rate of speed when the driver lost control. The vehicle crashed through a cinder block wall before landing in a residents front yard. Miraculously, no one was seriously injured.
