Ray J Seen At Livestream Event Targeted By Swatting Call
A livestreaming event in Downtown Los Angeles was targeted by an apparent swatting call for the second time in four days early Tuesday morning.
At approximately midnight on August 18, 2026, LAPD responded to the area of 15th Street and Compton Avenue following a report of a man who had been shot in the head.
The location was hosting a livestreaming event at the time, and the reported shooting appeared to be another swatting incident.
Police had responded to the same location on August 14 after receiving a report of a man with a gun, disrupting another livestreaming event.
Streamer DeenTheGreat was live during Tuesday morning’s incident. Singer and television personality Ray J was also seen at the event with a dog.
No actual shooting victim was reported at the scene.
Swatting involves making a false emergency report intended to trigger a significant law enforcement response to a particular location.
The identity of the person responsible for the calls was not immediately known.
