Rancho Cucamonga: First Responders Rescue Man From Flood Control Channel
06.25.2019 | 2:00 AM | RANCHO CUCAMONGA – A man had to be rescued after falling into a flood control channel, Tuesday morning.
Authorities responded to reports of a man who had fallen into a flood control channel near the intersection of Sapphire Court and Cucamonga Creek Trail around 2:00 AM.
Units arriving on scene were able to located the man approximately 20-feet down into the flood control channel.
The man reported he had fallen as he was climbing over a fence and was injured.
Firefighter paramedics accessed the man through a side tunnel and treated him on scene before carrying him out.
The man was transported to an area hospital for treatment in unknown condition.
An investigation is ongoing.
