Rancho Cucamonga: Driver Flees After Killing Man Changing Tire

01.18.2019 | 7:36 PM | RANCHO CUCAMONGA – A man changing his tire on the side of a freeway was killed by a hit-and-run driver, Friday night.

Authorities responded to reports of a pedestrian down near a car in on westbound lanes of the I-210 Freeway near the Archibald off ramp around 7:36 PM.

Units arriving on scene located a man deceased on the roadway near an apparently disabled vehicle.

Initial reports indicate the man was attempting to change a tire on his car when he was struck by a driver who fled the scene.

The suspect vehicle was later located after it crashed again off the freeway at the intersection of London Avenue and Liberty Street.

The hit-and-run driver fled the crashed car and remained outstanding.
