- At least one home has been destroyed in the Ranch Fire that has now scorched two thousand acres in the community south of Apple Valley.
- This would mark, if not THE first big fire in California for the season at 2, and should be the biggest fire in California.
- The Fire was dispatched around 1:45 this afternoon after multiple reports of a large column of black smoke were reported in the high desert foothills north of the San Bernardino Mountains.
- Fueled by heavy 30 – 40 mph winds, the fire within an hour was reported at one thousand acres and now sits at around 4,204 acres.
- Multiple homes remain under immediate threat, with homes being impacted, and at least two homes have been destroyed.
- Firefighters work to continue structure defense as heavy winds continue to hammer the high desert.
