Pursuit Suspect Ruins Dinner at Applebee’s by Shooting at Police | Redlands

09.03.2021 | 6:00 PM | REDLANDS – Per witnesses at the scene, police were in pursuit of a vehicle.

The suspect ran from the vehicle into the packed Applebee’s restaurant.

A bartender at the restaurant stated there were approximately 200 people inside the restaurant, and the suspect started shooting at the police, people inside the restaurant scattered.

People were exiting the restaurant as police ran with guns drawn.

Initial reports are that the shooting may have occurred inside the men’s restroom inside the restaurant.

It is unclear whether the suspect was struck by police gunfire, or if the police returned fire at all.
