Pursuit Suspect Opens Fire On Houston Police Officers | Houston

11.17.22 | 1:00am | Houston – HPD officers were involved in a shooting with a male suspect after the suspect crashed his vehicle fleeing from officers.

Suspect was transported by ambulance with non life threatening injuries.

It was reported that officers observed a vehicle driving erratically.

Officers attempted to stop the vehicle but the driver continued.

During the pursuit the suspect was seen throwing something out of the vehicle before turning onto Bingle from 290 frontage rd.

The suspect then left the roadway and crashed into a tree.

The male suspect began firing at officers from inside the truck through his windshield with an AK47 type rifle.

Two officers in the patrol vehicle then returned fire.

The suspect was struck multiple times.

The officers were not injured.

It was also observed the suspect is wearing an ankle monitor.

The suspect may potentially be charged with Attempted Capitol Murder of a Police Officer.
