Pursuit Suspect Captured Inside Hotel in San Diego

12.05.2020 | 3:10 AM | SAN DIEGO – A man is in custody after attempting to elude officers inside a hotel Friday morning.

A San Diego PD officer attempted to pull over a speeding driver and the driver failed to yield, initiating a pursuit.

The pursuit went from Mission Valley up to Kearny Mesa on the I-805 and then back into Mission Valley.

During the chase, speeds reached up to 120 mph.

Once the SDPD ABLE helicopter was overhead, the officers backed off and had the helicopter follow the suspect.

The suspect made his way to the Quality Suites Hotel and dumped his Honda in the parking lot.

The suspect then ran over to the Homewood Suites Hilton Hotel on Camino del Rio South and entered.

Officers found the suspect hiding in the Men’s Restroom and arrested him at gunpoint.

The Police found that the driver was driving on a suspended license and also located a meth pipe in the car.

He will be facing felony evasion and other related charge
