Pursuit Ends With Arrest of Armed Suspect | San Diego

01.08.2022 | 9:53 PM | SAN DIEGO – A SDPD officer spotted a car with two males inside speeding on Fairmount Ave in City Heights.

When the officer attempted to pull the driver over, the driver sped away at a high rate of speed.

The pursuit went through city streets with the driver running red lights and stop signs.

The driver ended up crashing at the dead-end of 50th St south of Federal Blvd.

Both the driver and the passenger fled on foot.

One of the males was captured when he was surrounded by several K-9 officers and their dogs.

The other male escaped.

A loaded handgun with an illegal 50-round magazine was found in the car.

The car reportedly belongs to a female witness from yesterday’s shooting on Date Pl. which is only a few blocks from where this pursuit ended.
