Pursuit Ends in Three Vehicle Injury Crash | San Diego
04.10.2022 | 8:50 AM | SAN DIEGO – An undercover Sheriff’s deputy was watching a stolen Toyota Tacoma on Escondido Ave in the Kearny Mesa area when a female got into the Tacoma and left the area.
The deputy followed her and at some point, he called for marked Deputies vehicles to come and stop the Tacoma.
The deputies attempted to stop the female driver. and she fled at a high rate of speed.
They ended up on the southbound I-15, and she exited onto El Cajon Blvd and continued to flee through the city streets.
She ran the “red” light at Orange Ave and 35th St and she hit the male driver of the Toyota SUV. The impact sent him backwards down Orange Ave where he collided with another male driver of a Toyota Prius.
The female in the Tacoma left the roadway and hit 2 electrical junction boxes before hitting a heavy fence.
She was apprehended immediately.
The one male in the SUV was taken to a local hospital with unknown injuries.
The male driver of the Prius had a complaint of pain but did not want to go to the hospital.
The female appeared to be under the influence of a narcotic and was transported to a local hospital for the DUI and the minor injuries she suffered in the crash.
