Pursuit Ends in Officer-Involved Shooting | Houston
09.10.2022 | 12:00 AM | HOUSTON – North Shepherd Hotspot officers attempted to stop a vehicle for speeding.
The driver stopped and when officers were trying to give the driver orders he fled from the stop.
A 15 minute chase ensued.
During the chase the suspect stopped twice, put his vehicle in reverse and struck the officers vehicle.
The chase came to the intersection of W Mount Houston & 45.
The driver and two passengers ran from the vehicle on foot.
The driver was armed with a firearm when he fled on foot.
An officer discharged his firearm striking the suspect.
Officers immediately began to render aid to the suspect.
HFD transported the suspect to an area hospital where he is in stable condition.
The firearm was recovered as well as an additional firearm in the truck.
The other two suspects have been detained at the scene and are not injured.
The three suspects are Hispanic Males.
The suspect is facing at least Felony aggravated assault & evading arrest.
No officers were injured.
