Pursuit Crashes Into Ocean

DETAILS:
- At around 4:00pm Carlsbad PD was responding to a call and on arrival suspect fled in a vehicle.
- a failure to yield call was put out, and a helicopter was requested.
- after driving recklessly and running red light the pursuit was terminated.
- An officer trailing witnessed the vehicle loose control and fly off a cliff and into the ocean.
- fire was requested and suspect was transported by ground to a trauma center with major injuries.
