Pursuit Crash Shears Hydrant & Damages Building

DETAILS:

1. LAPD Wilshire officers initiated a pursuit of a stolen vehicle
2. After a short pursuit, the suspect crashed into a fire hydrant
3. The pickup sheared the hydrant & also hit a box truck
4. The box truck was sent flying into an awning of a nearby building
5. The suspect was taken into custody
6. He was transported  by FD for minor injuries obtained in the crash
7. Firefighters shut the hydrant off after a few minutes
