Pursuit & Capture of Wanted Felony Suspect (Spike Strip On Video) | National City

10.13.2022 | 7:50 PM | NATIONAL CITY – Officers responded to a call of a male suspect firing a weapon at a house. He is a known and wanted felon for making terrorist threats to the people who called and other crimes. The Police picked up his silver BMW near K Ave and Highland and attempted to stop the suspect. The suspect made his north on Highland Ave to the I-5, and then back into National City. Officers spike-stripped the car 3x and the suspect kept going at approx 15 mph. The pursuit went throughout National City and into the Paradise Hills area of San Diego. The suspect then drove back into Nation and east to Bonita. The pursuit continued into Chula Vista and into the eastern portion towards Eastlake. The suspect stopped at one point at Otay Lakes Rd in Chula Vista but took off again. The pursuit finally ended in a cul-de-sac in Eastlake. Officers conducted a “Hot Stop” and took the male into custody. No weapon was found.
