Postal Working Killed in High-Speed Crash

AREA/CITY: Houston
DETAILS:

1. NW FD and HCSO responded to reports of a major crash
2. Deputies arrived to find a pickup truck which struck a USPS vehicle at a high rate of speed, shearing the back and left of the postal van off
3. The Postal employee was transported to a local trauma center in critical condition, where he succumbed to his injuries
4. The driver of the truck had been involved in a minor hit and run prior to this crash
5. Deputies saw signs of intoxication, and further tests determined his impairment
6. DA’s office has accepted charges of Intox Manslaughter
7. Potential federal charges could come as the result of killing a federal employee
