Possible Drunk Driver Slams into Sheriff’s Deputy
INCIDENT DATE/TIME: 2-9-25, 2:22 a.m.
LOCATION: 25323 Alessandro Blvd.
AREA/CITY: Moreno Valley
DETAILS:
- Cal Fire, Riverside County, Moreno Valley, responded to a reported two-car traffic collision with a party trapped.
- When units arrived, they found two cars, a RSO deputy vehicle with major damage and a black car that had hit a fence and landed in the shrubs of an apt complex, with one occupant trapped
- That person was quickly extricated from the vehicle.
- The driver of the black car was transported to a local area hospital suffering from non-life-threatening injuries.
- The deputy was checked out at the scene but was not transported.
- At this time, it appears that the driver of the black car was traveling at a high rate of speed when it collided with the deputy, sending the car through a fence and nearly hitting an apt complex.
- According to information from the scene, the driver was under the influence, but that has not been confirmed.
- California Highway Patrol, Inland, will be conducting the investigation.
