Possible Drunk Driver Slams into Sheriff’s Deputy

INCIDENT DATE/TIME: 2-9-25, 2:22 a.m.
LOCATION: 25323 Alessandro Blvd.
AREA/CITY: Moreno Valley
DETAILS:

  1. Cal Fire, Riverside County, Moreno Valley, responded to a reported two-car traffic collision with a party trapped.
  2. When units arrived, they found two cars, a RSO deputy vehicle with major damage and a black car that had hit a fence and landed in the shrubs of an apt complex, with one occupant trapped
  3. That person was quickly extricated from the vehicle.
  4. The driver of the black car was transported to a local area hospital suffering from non-life-threatening injuries.
  5. The deputy was checked out at the scene but was not transported.
  6. At this time, it appears that the driver of the black car was traveling at a high rate of speed when it collided with the deputy, sending the car through a fence and nearly hitting an apt complex.
  7. According to information from the scene, the driver was under the influence, but that has not been confirmed.
  8. California Highway Patrol, Inland, will be conducting the investigation.
