Possible Drunk Driver Sends Car Off Freeway Into An Embankment

INCIDENT DATE/TIME: 3-22-23, 1:03am
LOCATION: Magnolia Ave Onr / Sr91
CITY: Riverside
DETAILS:

 

1. Riverside Fire Department responded to a reported car that rolled multiple times down an embankment on the Magnolia onramp to the EB 91.
2. When they arrived, they found a patient that was partially ejected and still in the vehicle.
3. It appears that he was on the EB 91 when he for unknown reasons, came off the freeway.
4. Fire crews extricated the patient and they were transported to a local area hospital suffering from critical injuries.
5. At this time it is suspected that alcohol is a factor, as there were beer cans in his vehicle, but that is currently being investigated.
6. Per Riverside City Battalion Chief, they believe the wet roads were a factor as the roads are very slick from the recent rain.
