Possible Arsonist Outstanding After Suspicious Vegetation Fire Breaks Out | Ventura

6.13.2021 | 3:16 AM | VENTURA – Eucalyptus trees and grass ignited early Sunday morning in a possible arson fire, witnesses told police early Sunday morning.

Ventura City Firefighters responded to the 300 Block of W Shoshone Street regarding a small vegetation fire.

When firefighters arrived on scene, they located a ring of fire that had enveloped some eucalyptus trees, producing large flames. It took firefighters close to half an hour to fully extinguish the blaze.

A man with a torch was seen in the area according to witnesses who told Ventura Police. He was nowhere to be found when authorities were on scene.
