Porter Ranch: Driver Extricated After Crashing Into Tree

01.17.2019 | 3:39 PM | PORTER RANCH – A man had to be cut from his vehicle after crashing into a tree, Thursday afternoon.

Authorities responded to the reported vehicle that had crashed into a tree in the 11800 block of Wilbur Avenue around 3:39 PM.

Units arriving on scene found a solo vehicle that had apparently lost control before striking a tree.

The male driver of the vehicle was pinned in the wreckage requiring firefighters to cut him free.

Using the jaws of life and other power tools firefighters freed the trapped man within 30 minutes before transporting him to an area hospital.

Officers are on scene investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.

Wet roads are believed to have played a role.
