Pomona: Woman Hospitalized After Being Bit While Breaking Up Dog Fight

06.22.2019 | 10:00 PM | POMONA – A woman was hospitalized after being bit while intervening in a dog fight, Saturday night.

Authorities responded to reports of a dog bite in the 1900 block of Mount Vernon, Saturday night.

Units arriving on scene located a woman at her residence with a dog several dog bites.

The woman reported that she was trying to stop a Pit Bull from attacking a smaller dog when the Pit Bull began attacking her.

Firefighter paramedics treated the female on scene before transporting her to an area hospital in unknown condition.

The Pomona Valley Humane Society responded to the scene and took custody of both animals to be evaluated.

An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
