Pomona: Pedestrian Dead After Being Struck By Freight Train

09.04.2019 | 9:50 PM | POMONA – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a freight train, Wednesday night.

Authorities responded to reports of a pedestrian that had been struck by a Union Pacific Freight Train on the railroad tracks near the 2800 block of West Pomona Boulevard around 9:50 PM.

Crews arriving on scene located the pedestrian suffering from obvious death on the railroad tracks.

Railroad traffic was temporarily halted while authorities investigated the circumstances surrounding the collision.
