Pomona: Female Hospitalized After Being Struck By SUV

07.31.2019 | 9:35 PM | POMONA – A woman was hospitalized after being struck by a SUV, Wednesday night.

Authorities responded to reports of a traffic collision involving a pedestrian near the intersection of Garey Avenue and Eleventh Street around 9:35 PM.

Units arriving on scene located a woman down in the roadway suffering from injuries consistent with being struck by a vehicle.

Firefighter paramedics treated the woman on scene before transporting her to Pomona Valley Hospital in unknown condition.

The driver of the vehicle that struck the woman, described as an SUV, remained on scene and appeared to be cooperating with law enforcement.

It was unclear whether the pedestrian was in a crosswalk at the time of the crash.
