Pomona: CHP Cruiser Sideswiped By Big Rig

12.07.2018 | 9:15 PM | POMONA – A California Highway Patrol vehicle was sideswiped while on scene of a crash, Friday night.

Officers were clearing a crash on the westbound I-10 freeway east of the Dudley Street exit around 9:15 PM when a big rig swerved into an officer’s patrol vehicle.

The big rig caused substantial damage to the cruiser but the officer and nearby civilians escaped injury.

It was unclear why the big rig swerved into the patrol vehicle, which was inside of a flare pattern.

Both the big rig and patrol vehicle had to be towed from the location.
