Police Vehicle Catches Fire During Huntington Park Pursuit
Multiple people, including police officers, were hospitalized after a Huntington Park police vehicle crashed and caught fire during an apparent pursuit of a minibike rider Wednesday night.
The crash occurred around 10:15 p.m. on September 30, 2026, at Seville Avenue and Florence Avenue in Huntington Park.
According to multiple witnesses, Huntington Park police had been pursuing a person riding what witnesses described as an illegal minibike along Florence Avenue. Witnesses said the rider ran red lights during the pursuit.
At some point, a police vehicle crashed into multiple vehicles at the intersection of Seville and Florence. The police vehicle caught fire following the collision.
A total of four vehicles were involved in the crash, including one parked vehicle. Multiple people were transported to area hospitals with unknown injuries, including police officers.
The minibike rider was able to get away and had not been apprehended at the scene.
