Police Pursuit Ends In Multi-Vehicle Crash In Houston

At approximately 3:44 a.m. on April 20, 2026, a police pursuit that began in the West University area came to an end near the 6500 block of Del Rio Street in Houston.

The pursuit ended in a multi-vehicle crash scene involving several law enforcement units and civilian vehicles. A police SUV was seen crashed into a gate and fire hydrant, sustaining heavy damage. Another police vehicle and multiple civilian cars also showed varying degrees of damage, including one vehicle that was overturned.

Debris from the collision was scattered throughout the area, and a nearby light pole appeared to have been knocked down during the crash.

A female was seen detained in the back of a patrol vehicle, though her involvement has not been confirmed.
