Police Officer Injured In Rollover, 2 Fleeing Suspects Detained

Phoenix Fire crews and law enforcement units from Phoenix Police, Maricopa County Sheriffs Office and Gila River Indian Community Police Department responded to reports of a rollover collision involving a law enforcement vehicle near 63rd Avenue and Baseline Road shortly before 2:30 AM.
Upon arrival, units located a marked Gila River Indian Community Police Department Chevy Tahoe overturned and an unoccupied white Toyota Solara with heavy front end damage.
The officer from the overturned Tahoe was transported to a local trauma center.
The officers condition has yet to be confirmed.
Per law enforcement on scene, 2 occupants (believed to be adult males) from the white Solara attempted to flee the scene but were quickly apprehended by Phoenix Police.
Both men were evaluated by Phoenix Fire crews and refused further medical attention.
The Maricopa County Sheriffs Office has confirmed that MCSO Deputies will be taking over the investigation.
A hard closure has been established for Baseline Road spanning between the South Mountain Loop 202 and 64th Avenue while deputies investigate the collision.
