Police Chase Over 200 Dirt Bikes and ATV’s in Riverside
11.28.2020 | 2:00 PM | MEAD VALLEY – At around 2pm California Highway Patrol Riverside received reports of a large group of dirt bikes and ATV’s gathering and causing havoc in the area of Cajalco Road. When they arrived they found between 200 and 300 bikes and ATV’s driving in excessive speed on Cajalco Road and driving reckless. CHP tried to stop the vehicles but they then broke off into smaller groups and fled. Some of the groups went on the 215 freeway, others went into the hills. At least one CHP officer was assaulted by 4 wheelers that tried to run him over. At one point there were at least 6 separate pursuits at once. 2 air units assisted and CHP called for every unit in the area to assist. At least one person on a dirt bike wrecked and was transported. A large group of others were apprehended as they tried to load their bikes and 4 wheelers into Uhauls. At least one bike was impounded. A small number of bikers were apprehended It is unknown how many people if any were arrested. The official want was for a large gathering of off road bikes on main roads and reckless driving and failure to yield. No more information is available at this time.
