DETAILS:
- HPD and HFD responded to reports of a shooting
- Arriving units located a male down near the leasing office with at least 1 gunshot wound
- Officers immediately began life saving measures, utilizing a chest seal
- HFD took over triage and transported the male to a nearby trauma center where he succumbed to his wounds
- Officers located an initial scene a short distance away in the complex
- Officers made entry into an apartment to ensure no other victims were inside
- Homicide and CSU are en route to process the scene and investigate
- 1 firearm was recovered, unknown if it belongs to the suspect or victim
- The suspect is believed to have fled on foot from the complex
