Plane Bursts Into Flames After Crashing Near Hawthorne Airport

LOCATION: 4427 W El Segundo Blvd
AREA/CITY: Hawthorne
DETAILS:

1. LACoFD responded to a report of a commercial structure fire
2. Firefighters arrived to find a Cessna type plane that crashed into a parking lot
3. The plane was fully engulfed in flames
4. One person was found near the plane
5. The victim crawled out of the burning plane away from the wreckage
6. Firefighters extinguished the flames
7. At least one person was transported in unknown condition to an area hospital
8. Hawthorne PD is on scene and closed down the area
