Pickup Truck Crashes Into Fire Hydrant on West Valley Parkway in Escondido

- ESCONDIDO: At approximately 4:30 p.m., reports of a traffic collision came in on the 700 block of West Valley Parkway.Upon arrival, first responders located a pickup truck with heavy damage after it struck a fire hydrant and nearby equipment, including a railroad crossing sign.
The driver and a dog that was inside the vehicle were not injured. Officers conducted a field sobriety test on the driver, who showed no signs of impairment and was released at the scene.
