Pickup Pushed Into Taco Stand, Four Injured In San Bernardino

Four people were hospitalized, including one in critical condition, after a two-vehicle collision sent a pickup truck into a taco stand early Saturday morning in San Bernardino.

The crash was reported at approximately 1:47 a.m. on September 5, 2026, in the 2600 block of East Highland Avenue.

San Bernardino police, firefighters and paramedics responded to reports of a traffic collision requiring extrication. First responders arrived to find a pickup truck had crashed into a taco stand following a collision with a sedan.

According to witnesses at the scene, the pickup may have been parked when it was rear-ended by the sedan, causing the truck to be pushed into the taco stand. That sequence of events has not been confirmed by investigators.

A total of four people were transported to area hospitals, including one person reported in critical condition. Additional details regarding the patients were not immediately available.

Police closed Highland Avenue in both directions while officers investigated the collision.

The cause and circumstances surrounding the crash remain under investigation by the San Bernardino Police Department.
