Pick Up Truck Rollover Crash Kills 1 Person

Phoenix Police and Phoenix Fire responded to reports of a single vehicle collision near the 4000 block of West Thomas Road shortly after 2:30 AM.

Upon arrival, crews found a pickup truck vs a tree with a driver trapped inside.

The collision caused the pickup to roll onto its side.

Crews extricated the trapped driver and began rendering aid.

Despite life saving efforts by firefighters, the driver was pronounced deceased on scene.

Phoenix Police have established a hard closure for Thomas Road spanning between 40th Avenue and 39th Avenue.

Vehicular Crimes Unit detectives are enroute to the scene.

The closure is expected to remain in place for several hours throughout the morning as detectives investigate the collision.
