Phoenix Firefighters Combat Massive Mulch Fire

LOCATION: Lower Buckeye Road and 27th Avenue

CITY: Phoenix DETAILS: Crews are working to extinguish a large mulch fire directly behind the Phoenix Fire training and dispatch facility. The fire is growing dangerously close to nearby commercial properties. Crews have positioned at least 2 tower ladders overhead, deploying elevated master streams and several hoses. Crews are currently making good fire knockdown progress as of 4:18 AM.
