Phoenix Fire Battles Defensive House Fire

Firefighters have extinguished a fast moving fire that broke out just after 4 AM this morning near 35th Ave and Vineyard. When crews arrived on scene, they found heavy fire and smoke coming from the home. Firefighters deployed hose lines and searched the home for any possible victims.Once crews were able to confirm that the home was clear of anyone inside, a defensive fire was declared. Firefighters were able to utilize ladder pipes and hand lines from the exterior to knockdown the remainder of the fire. It appears that the house is vacant and Investigators from the fire investigations task force are currently on scene. No injuries reported on the fire ground.
