Person Shot and Killed in the Middle of Sepulveda

INCIDENT DATE/TIME: 9-22-24 3:41 p.m.
LOCATION: Sepulveda Blvd & Normandie Ave
AREA/CITY: Torrance
DETAILS:

  1. First responders were dispatched to a shooting with 1 victim down in the middle of the roadway.
  2. First responders arrived on scene and started to preform life saving measures. ultimately the victim was declared deceased at scene.
  3. Witnesses stated the suspect fired at least 5 shots before speeding off in a blue Chevrolet Silverado 1500.
  4. A witness followed the suspect’s vehicle until sheriffs caught up.
  5. Carson Sheriffs took a suspect into custody a few miles down the road.
  6. Sepulveda Blvd from Normandie Ave to Marigold Ave is shut down in both directions while Carson Sheriffs handle the investigation.
