LOCATION: 109th Street / Vermont Avenue
AREA/CITY: Westmont, South Los Angeles
DETAILS:

1. A person was struck by a vehicle in the southbound lanes of Vermont Avenue just south of 109th Street.
2. The victim was declared dead by paramedics at the scene.
3. The car that hit the person did not stop at the scene.
4. CHP and LA County Sheriff’s officials are investigating the crash.
5. Southbound Vermont Avenue at 109th Street has been shut down as officers investigate.
