Person Killed After Being Trapped Under Car in San Bernardino

At approximately 8:34pm on March 18th, 2026, San Bernardino Police Department officers, along with County Fire and AMR personnel, responded to a traffic collision with extrication near Del Rosa Avenue north of Highland Avenue in San Bernardino.

Upon arrival, crews located a Dodge Charger with a person trapped underneath the vehicle. Firefighters lifted the vehicle to access the victim, who was subsequently pronounced deceased at the scene.

Authorities stated the driver remained at the scene and appeared to be cooperating with investigators.

Both northbound and southbound lanes of Del Rosa Avenue were shut down while officers conducted their traffic collision investigation.

No additional information was immediately released.
