Person Found With Severe Head Injuries In Possible Houston Hit-And-Run

Houston police are investigating a possible pedestrian collision after an ambulance crew discovered a person with severe head injuries lying in the roadway early Sunday morning.
The incident was reported around 1:47 a.m. on September 27, 2026, near 11450 Bissonnet Street in Houston.
A Houston Fire Department ambulance crew was driving through the area when they spotted a person lying in the roadway. The individual appeared to have been struck by a vehicle and had suffered severe head trauma.
During the investigation, a person returned to the scene and told authorities they believed they may have struck the pedestrian. Investigators had not confirmed whether that individual was involved in the collision.
The person who returned to the scene showed no apparent signs of impairment.
The injured person’s condition and whether they were transported to a hospital were not immediately available.
