Person Airlifted After Being Trapped In Wrong Way Crash

INCIDENT DATE/TIME: 1240am 5-20-24
LOCATION: Northbound Grand Pkwy South of Highland Knolls
AREA/CITY:  Katy
DETAILS:

1. Ft Bend FD with additional agencies responded to a multi vehicle crash
2. arriving companies located 2 patients, 1 of which was pinned inside a vehicle
3. an extended extrication occurred, and the patient was eventually flown along with the second patient via separate lifeflight helicopters
4. both patients went Downtown, and per the Sgt at scene, one may have life threatening injuries
5. Ft Bend SO is waiting for hospital updates as they process the crash scene
6. per radio traffic, this may be a wrong way crash (caller advised vehicle got on wrong way at Highland Knolls)
