People Rescued From Raging Stormwaters By Firefighters In 2 Separate Rescues | Jurupa Valley

INCIDENT DATE/TIME: 1ST RESCUE: 2-25-23, 9:44am —- 2ND RESCUE 11:49AM LOCATION: 1ST RESCUE 5759 Jurupa Ave – 2ND RESCUE – 1897 MARKET STREET CITY: Jurupa Valley DETAILS: Cal Fire Riverside County, Jurupa Valley along with their task force, swift water team responded to reports of people trapped on a small island in the river. When teams arrived on scene they found the 2 men trapped and immediately launched their raft teams. Both men were rescued, one was being transported for possible hypothermia, the second person received treatment at the scene but was not transported. 2ND WATER RESCUE Cal Fire Riverside County, Jurupa Valley along with Riverside City Swift Water Rescue team responded for a second water rescue for a man that was stranded on an island in the middle of the river. . The team arrived and developed a plan using a hoist and rafts to get to the patient and bring them to shore. The man was rescued and was transported to a local area hospital for unknown injuries.
