Pedro Fire Burns 2700+ Acres, Destroys Homes.

INCIDENT DATE/TIME: 7-30-24 Filmed Throughout Evening.
LOCATION: Don Pedro Reservoir.
AREA/CITY: Mariposa/Tuolumne Counties.
DETAILS:

1. Firefighters responded to reports of a brush fire near highway 132 and the mariposa/tuolumne county line by the don Pedro reservoir.
2. Upon arrival they discovered a 20 acres fire burning at a moderate rate of spread and threatening homes.
3. The fire continued to burn out of control, claiming several structures.
4. Aircraft worked throughout the day to protect homes and to mitigate further spread.
5. The fire is currently 2,727 acres and just 7 percent contained.
