Pedestrian Struck By Sprinter Train

LOCATION: Oceanside Blvd. & Vine St.
AREA/CITY: Oceanside, CA.
DETAILS:

1. A pedestrian was struck by a Sprinter commuter train as it was traveling Eastbound near the intersection of Vine St. and Oceanside Blvd.
2. Oceanside Police along with Vista Fire Department arrived and found a 40-year-old male that was injured alongside the train tracks.
3. The male suffered a broken femur as a result of being struck by the train.
4. The male was transported to Palomar Medical Center with serious injuries.
5. The San Diego County Sheriff’s Transit Enforcement Unit will be handling the investigation and how it occurred.
6. Sprinter commuter train service has been halted through the duration of the investigation.
