Pedestrian Struck And Killed | Simi Valley

01.15.2021 | 6:33 PM | SIMI VALLEY – The Simi Valley Police Department responded to a traffic collision involving a pick-up truck and a pedestrian at First Street and Pacific Avenue.

Upon arrival, the pedestrian succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Preliminary investigation revealed the pedestrian attempted to cross First Street eastbound from the southwest corner of Pacific Avenue in an unmarked crosswalk. The pick-up truck traveled northbound in the number two lane of First Street when it struck the pedestrian.

The driver was cooperative with traffic investigators. Alcohol or drugs do not appear to be a contributing factor on the part of the driver.
