Pedestrian Killed, Driver Critical After Freeway Crash | Granada Hills

08.29.2022 | 1:30 AM | GRANADA HILLS – CHP officers were called for a man walking on the freeway.

Before officers could arrive, additional calls were received of a traffic accident.

Officers arrived to find a male pedestrian down in the roadway and the driver of the vehicle injured after losing control and hitting a Caltrans Sign.

LAFD paramedics arrived and pronounced the male pedestrian deceased at the scene.

The driver of the car that struck him was transported to a local hospital in critical condition.

Officers believe the driver struck the man lost control of the vehicle crashing into the construction sign.

At this time the two right lanes will be closed for an unknown time for the investigation.
